Jane enjoys leading large teams as well as managing her independent production company and is looking forward to developing more feature films and TV projects for audiences and platforms!
Jane Loughman
Jane grew up in central London, living above the Westminster Theatre in the West End. Surrounded by performance and production, Jane worked in every department from the Front of House to backstage and box office. She spent two summers in Switzerland, as stage manager for a conference centre theatre. Jane attended the Wimbledon School of Art; the University of Aberdeen (MA (Hons.) in English & Film); and London’s City University (MA in Arts Criticism).
Jane has over 20 years of experience in Film and Television production: both scripted and documentary, from entertainment and pop culture to independent films; and she is excited and fascinated by all aspects of production. Jane produced for ET Canada, E! News, E! News Live, Entertainment Tonight UK, before moving into feature films with A Dog’s Breakfast.
Having already made A Dog’s Breakfast together, Jane and David formed Monkey’s & Parrots in 2012 to produce the Sci-Fi/Horror film Debug starring Jason Momoa. Co-developing the concept and script with David for him to direct, Jane then became heavily involved in the production side of things – including finding their partners, financing, packaging, budgeting, scheduling, second unit, editing, and supervising the VFX, then delivering the film to our international sales team to present at Cannes in 2014.
Brought on board All About Who You Know by writer/director Jake Horowitz, Jane produced this micro-budget feature and secured a broadcast sale to Crave plus International distribution through Gravitas.
She most recently wrapped production on her passion project: The Swearing Jar, a musical romance about “love lost, love found, and love remembered…”. In 2022 the film, written by Kate Hewlett, directed by Lindsay MacKay and starring Adelaide Clemens, Douglas Smith and Patrick J. Adams with Kathleen Turner will make its festival and market premieres, before being theatrically released across N. America.
Jane has also been part of numerous industry talent development programs including the Trans-Atlantic Partners and Strategic Partners, TIFF Producers Lab Toronto, EFM’s Producers Without Borders, and at Cannes.
